The 15yr old in me squealed when I saw the video description. But after seeing it, the 30yr old in me just cringed. Is this really how they end the show? *eye roll*
I’m telling you, nothing I’ve seen of this musical has been redeeming. And this is coming from someone who loves Billie Joe so hard.
i totally wanna get this shirt
“well first of all its not ska” -Billie Joe
While I agree with him, Hitchin A Ride is most def not ska, he didn’t have to sound so offended by it. I guess he’s just very punk. Never even heard of him refer to ska at all till now. Also stay tuned for the longest most awkward laugh at the end.
Help me think of Big D questions
Working on Big D questions to ask them at the show on Wed. Here’s what I have so far. Let me know what you think. And if you think of any other good ones let me know.
1. I noticed in the series of videos documenting the making of Fluent In Stroll you guys had a lot of guest musicians. Were they friends of yours from Berklee?
2. Will the Doped Up Dollies be returning on the next album?
3. The line up changed on this album with Derek on drums. Now that Sean (guitar) is married and Paul (trombone) is married and teaching, will there be anymore line up changes or will you just fill in for them with touring musicians?
4. A lot of crazy shit happened on the last tour (i.e. broken ribs, stolen laptop, trailer breaking down, having to sleep in uhaul, being hassled by cops, etc) did any of them inspire new songs or make it into your (Dave) new book?
The Duppies do a cover of “Night Food”. I asked myself, what is this song about? I don’t know. But my husband suggested its about prostitution. What do you think?
